University of Toronto Scholarships for International Students

1. Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship

Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship, the University of Toronto’s most prestigious scholarship, is a full-ride award programme given to talented international applicants. The Pearson Scholarship Program is only available to newly admitted undergraduate students and is based on academic merit, leadership potential, and outstanding creativity.

To be eligible for this full-ride scholarship, you must first be an international student (Not a Canadian Citizen). Following completion of this requirement, you must also be in your final year of secondary education (high school) or have graduated within a certain time period (specified on the scholarship page).

This is where things get a little tricky. You must first be nominated by your school, and in order for your school to do so, your teacher or school principal must fill out a form specific to your school. You can apply for University of Toronto Undergraduate Admissions after being nominated by your school, and then fill out a separate application for Lester B. Pearson Scholarship.

2. Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering Scholarships

  • Scholarship Amount: Stipend of $7,500 ~ $25,000 Per Year
  • Degrees Offered: Undergraduate

This University of Toronto scholarship has an academic requirement in addition to the degree requirements. As the name implies, this range of scholarships is only available to international students applying to the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Applied Sciences & Engineering.
If you apply for undergraduate engineering or applied sciences courses, you will be considered for approximately ten different scholarships funded by Toronto University. Because of their large number, the entry requirements and application procedure for each scholarship programme differ.

3. University of Toronto Undergraduate Admissions Scholarship

When compared to the Lester B. Pearson Scholarship, this type of scholarship programme provides very little financial aid, and you shouldn’t rely on an admissions scholarship to cover your tuition. As an international applicant, you are automatically considered for some of the University of Toronto’s admissions scholarships.

You don’t need to be concerned about admissions scholarships with automatic consideration because you only need to complete the admissions application to be eligible for those types of scholarships. However, for scholarships that require a separate scholarship application, you must ensure that you understand the application deadline and procedure so that you can apply on time!
