About The Scholarship
Vienna Biocenter Summer School 2024 is a fully funded, research-oriented summer scholarship in Austria. This 9-week summer research program enables bright and skilled students to research the life sciences under the supervision of the world’s best mentors at one of Europe’s leading research centres. The program provides a dynamic and vibrant scientific environment for talented students who are passionate about research and development-oriented scientific innovations. VBC Austria aims to gather skilled and bright minds from all over the world and bring them to the most exciting scientific laboratories in the world to give them space to grow and advance.

Eligibility Criteria for The Scholarship
- The participant can be of any gender or nationality.
- Candidates with BA Hons degrees, MA students, MA students, undergraduate students or Masters students, who have completed at least two years of university can apply.
- The student must be studying life sciences.
- The applicant must have a good academic record.
- Students must be proficient in English.
- Students either have three months’ research experience or undertake an internship as part of the study programme.

Scholarship Benefits
- Students will be fully accommodated.
- You will be provided with a modern, well-furnished room with shared bathroom and kitchen.
- Each participant will receive a nine-week stipend of €1,400.
- Each student will receive a free travel ticket during the scholarship period.
- Your medical insurance will be fully covered.
- All travel costs to and from Vienna will be reimbursed.
- Students will enjoy an opening dinner, visits to venues in Vienna, trips to Heurigen, and final summer school celebrations along with the regular Friday evening social hours.
